The National Trails Weekend in Connecticut is a weekend of trail work, guided hikes and other events that celebrate our wild, recreational spaces. This year the RMF lead two trail work crews with a combined total of thirty-five laborers at Ragged and Pinnacle.

On Earth Day, April 22, 2019 the RMF Board of Directors organized a cleanup at the Ragged Mountain property. A small volunteer crew cleared trails and picked up garbage along the Andrews Street frontage.

No one does trail work for the applause, or the fame, or the groupies… there are no groupies. Instead those who labor with rock bar and pickaxe do it to make the spaces we love that much better and the experience of visitors that much more positive.

On July 9th, 2016 the RMF Conservation Crew, with funding from an REI Stewardship Grant, worked in partnership with the Connecticut Climbers and Mountaineers to conduct trail work at Ragged Mountain.
