Perched above the busy Chamberlain Highway and Meriden Mall, a visit to Cathole offers you an opportunity to practice your non-verbal communication skills with your partner. Cathole is part of the famous Hanging Hills of Meriden. There are several must-do climbs here. Bring lead gear and/or long anchor ropes.
Local Access Issues
The land ownership here has not yet been determined but climbing is tolerated. There have been break-ins at the parking lot below the cliff.
Getting There
Park at a wide shoulder of the road and follow the trail from the north end of the parking area up to the cliff.
